The Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) is making available to the wider public a large collection of lost (or hidden) files from former British colonial territories. According to FCO, these files –  “sometimes known as the ‘migrated archives'” –  are being made available between April 2012 and November 2013. Those on Tanganyika/Tanzania are expected to be available in the national archives between September and November 2013.
