I set the alarm at 8
But woke up at 10
Left the bedroom unkempt
Because she was going to do it
Breakfast ready
Milk tea, vitumbua and slices of bread
Not that I like it
But that’s what she made
I tell the kids to play outside
So I can watch my favorite sitcom
Legs stretched over the sofa
My stinky toes waving
I am deep in my element
Curtains bulging from serenity
But she’s still in the kitchen
The whole house is pilau-scented
Lunch time!
Dinner time!
The kids have eaten and are now sleeping
All her own doing
I am tired as well
This lockdown is boring
Still sitting in my sofa
There is nothing to do
Absolutely nothing to do!
But not all is lost
I’m a family man
My house is tidy
The kids are happy
Only she is more tired
And nagging
